Silver Alert Success Story: 66-year old Kansas man found in Missouri
On January 8, 2012, a Silver Alert was issued for 66-year-old Franklin Benskin. Benskin went missing in Olathe, Kansas, and was found safe 30 miles away in Parkville, Missouri.

OLATHE, Kan. – The family of an Olathe man and his grandson, both reported missing Sunday night, say they’re feeling relived and blessed the two were found safe early Monday morning.
Authorities overnight issued a Silver Alert for Franklin Benskin, 66, and his grandson, 4-year-old Marcus Mabwai.
Benskin’s wife said he has diabetes and because of his medication, sometimes he becomes disoriented when he drives.
Angel Mabwai, Marcus’ mother, told NBC Action News police called her at 6:11 a.m. Monday to tell her they had found her son and his grandfather in Parkville, Mo.
