Illinois: Silver Alert Legislation Heads to the Governor
Legislation sponsored by state Rep. Frank Mautino (D-Spring Valley) establishing comprehensive procedures to locate missing adults suffering from Alzheimer’s disease and other forms of dementia passed the General Assembly and awaits action from the governor.
“Thousands of Illinois baby boomers become senior citizens every year,” Mautino said. “This increases the likelihood that a larger percentage of Illinois residents will suffer from Alzheimer’s or dementia.”
