Silver Alert Success Story: 83-Year-Old Kansas Man Found In Nebraska

On December 11, 2018, a Silver Alert issued for 83-year-old Jerry Stewart. Stewart went missing in Beloit, Kansas and was found safe over 50 miles away in Nebraska.

According to the news story on KSN-TV:

BELOIT, Kan. (KSNW) – Keith Shamburg, the missing Beloit man, was located safely in Nebraska. The Silver Alert has been canceled.


A Silver Alert has been issued for a missing 83-year-old Beloit man.

Harold “Keith” Shamburg has not been seen since he left his home around 7 p.m. Monday.

He was driving a red 2015 Lincoln MKX with a personalized tag “LILBRD.”

Shamburg is 5’10” and weighs around 175 lbs.

He has gray hair and brown eyes.

Shamburg suffers from dementia and may be confused or disoriented.


Silver Alert Success Story: 80-Year-Old Texas Man Found In Wisconsin

On February 26, 2017, a Silver Alert issued for 80-year-old Robert Collins. Collins went missing in El Paso, Texas and was found safe over 1400 miles away in Wisconsin.

According to the news story on the El Paso Times:

El Paso police said Monday afternoon that 80-year-old Robert Collins, who had been reported missing Sunday, has been found in Wisconsin. Police officials did not disclose why Collins was in Wisconsin.


Silver Alert Success Story: 72-Year-Old Missouri Man Found In Kansas

On August 6, 2015, a Silver Alert issued for 72-year-old Jerry Stewart. Stewart went missing in Deepwater, Missouri and was found safe over 130 miles away in Osage County, Kansas.

According to the news story on WDAF-TV:

LEE’S SUMMIT, Mo. — A 72-year-old man was found in Osage County, Kansas at Overbrook City Lake after his car ran out of gas.

Police in Lee’s Summit issued an endangered Silver Advisory for Jerry Stewart Thursday afternoon.

Police say Stewart was heading from Deepwater, Mo.  to Menorah Medical Center for medical treatment, but never made it. He was last seen wearing a black and blue striped dress shirt and jeans.  Deepwater is just south of Clinton, Mo., and about an hour and 20 minutes from Lee’s Summit.
