The Missouri Silver Haired Legislature has made Silver Alert legislation one of its top legislative priorities for the 2015 session of the Missouri General Assembly.
As reported in the Fulton Sun:
A bill Baumgartner described as promising is House Bill 679, which would create a silver alert, much like an amber alert, specifically for seniors who go missing. She said a system like that can help when seniors with dementia or other illnesses go missing.
House Bill 679, sponsored by Representative Sandy Crawford (R-Lebanon) expands the Amber Alert System to include missing endangered persons, specifies the criteria for being an endangered person, and changes its name to the Amber Alert and Silver Alert System.
