On September 16, 2019, a Silver Alert was issued for 87-year-old Clara Mae Braun. Braun went missing near Lemmon, South Dakota and was safe 65 miles away in Mott, North Dakota.

The South Dakota woman who was the subject of a Silver Alert has been found alive.
A farmer found Clara Mae Braun, 87, of Buffalo, S.D., south of Mott about 9:20 a.m. Thursday, said Harding County Sheriff Wyatt Sabo.
Braun was taken to West River Health Services in Hettinger and was doing well, Sabo said.
She hadn’t been seen since early Monday, when she was traveling north on South Dakota Highway 73, 15 miles south of Lemmon, S.D.
On March 2, 2017, a Silver Alert was issued for 86-year-old Frank E. McMurphy, Jr.. McMurphy went missing in Rose Hill, Kansas, and was later found safe at least 60 miles away Oklahoma.

The Rose Hill Police Department reports a missing man who was the subject of a Silver Alert has been found safe and sound by law enforcement officers in Oklahoma.
The search for 86-year-old Frank E. McMurphy Jr. began earlier Thursday when he was last seen driving his 2006 Orange GMC Canyon pick-up truck.
On April 23, 2016, a Silver Alert was issued for 89-year-old Robert Clarence Boone. Boone went missing in Apex, North Carolina, and was later found safe 250 miles away in Dorchester County, South Carolina.

An elderly Apex man who went missing around 4 p.m. on Saturday was located by Dorchester County authorities in South Carolina Sunday evening.
Robert Clarence Boone, 89, was traveling to the Food Lion on Laura Duncan Road Saturday afternoon, according to the Boone family.
Boone’s daughter, Donna, said her father is battling with an onset of dementia.
“On a typical day like today, he would be sitting in the yard,” Donna Boone said. “He’d be talking with us, playing with the dogs and just watching the cars go by.”
Robert Boone has four children, nine grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
“He loves his family. He sticks close to his family and he sticks close to home,” Donna Boone said. “So this is one of the reasons why it’s very disturbing.”
Officials sent out a statewide Silver Alert late Saturday night for the missing 89-year-old.
“It’s very surreal,” she said. “It’s something you see on TV. You do not expect it to be happening to your own family. It’s distressing.”
