Silver Alert Success Story: 86-Year-Old Florida Man Found In Tennessee

On November 19, 2018, a Silver Alert was issued for 86-year-old William Franklin. Franklin went missing in Kissimmee, Florida and were found safe 600 miles away in Tennessee

According to the news story on Florida Today:

An 86-year-old man whose disappearance prompted Melbourne police to issue a Silver Alert has been located with family in Tennessee.

The Silver Alert was issued Monday for the man, who went missing over the weekend, according to Florida Department of Law Enforcement reports.

William Franklin, 86, was last seen in Kissimmee wearing a white t-shirt and khaki shorts with white sneakers. Melbourne police had thought that he could be headed to Tennessee.

“He was found with family,” said Marc Claycomb, spokesman for the Melbourne Police Department. “They may have been on the lookout for him as well.”


Silver Alert Success Story: 84-Year-Old Wisconsin Man found in Tennessee

On June 24, 2017, a Silver Alert was issued for 84-year-old Freddie Jones.  Jones went missing in Milwaukee, Wisconsin and was found safe 620 miles away in Memphis, Tennessee.

MILWAUKEE — A Silver Alert has been canceled for 84-year-old Freddie Jones, who was located in Memphis, Tennessee on Sunday, June 25th.

He is safe, officials said.

There was concern after Jones was reported to have been last seen in Milwaukee on Saturday afternoon.

Again, he has been found safe.



Silver Alert Success Story: 86-Year-Old Tennessee Man Found In Kentucky

On April 28, 2017, a Silver Alert issued for 86-year-old Christopher Ferrick. Ferrick went missing in Murfreesboro, Tennessee and was found 140 miles away in Columbia, Kentucky after a vehicle crash.

According to the news story on WTVF NewsChannel 5:

MURFREESBORO, Tenn. – The man involved in a Silver Alert out of Rutherford County was found after being involved in an injury crash.

Officials with the Murfreesboro Police Department said Christopher Ferrick reportedly left his home at 1811 Kings Court between 5 a.m. and 11: 30 a.m. Friday and had’t returned.

He was said to have the beginning stages of dementia, but had not yet been diagnosed.

Ferrick was reportedly found after he was involved in a crash in Kentucky on Saturday morning.

Authorities had not released details on his condition or any injuries he possibly sustained.
