On April 20, 2017, a Silver Alert issued for 73-year-old Malcolm Almgren. Almgren went missing in Portsmouth, Rhode Island and was found safe over 150 miles away in Westminster, Vermont.

Police in Portsmouth say a man who had been missing since Thursday, has been located.
Malcolm Almgren, 73, had been missing near the area of Baylies Avenue, located at the northern end Bristol Ferry Road, according to police.
In a news release Saturday morning, Major Brian Peters of the Portsmouth Police Department said that Almgren was found Friday in Westminster, Vermont by a member of the Vermont State Police. Almgren had apparently pulled off to the side of a road, prompting the Trooper to stop and check on the vehicle.
Almgren was taken to a hospital as a precaution and police notified his family of his whereabouts.
On July 25, 2014, a Silver Alert was issued for 76-year-old Paul Keeling. Keeling went missing in Providence, Rhode Island and was later found safe 250 miles away near the Vermont-Canada border.

A Silver Alert that was issued Friday for a missing 76-year-old man has been canceled.
Paul Keeling was last seen Friday morning boarding a bus outside the Veterans Affairs Medical Center on Chalkstone Avenue in Providence. Officials said at the time that he was visually impaired and hard of hearing and issued the alert Friday evening.
Police announced Saturday morning that Keeling had been located, and a spokesperson for the Va Hospital said he had been found in Vermont near the Canadian border. Keeling is reportedly in good condition but was undergoing medical tests as a precaution.
